Branches’ of Faith,

🌿 Branches of Faith Stood before Her

Faith,

woman in green long sleeve dress sitting on tree trunk

The branches of faith stood before her—tall, steady, and whispering through the wind as if asking, “What can I help you with today?” Mindy looked back at the tree the same way she always did: eyes heavy, heart full, unable to put her feelings into words. So she simply sat down beneath it and let the tears fall where they may.

When the crying eased, she placed her hand on the trunk and began to pray. She remembered the rule she lived by now: believe first, never doubt, and see the blessing as already done. Feel it. Claim it. Thank God for it before it even arrives. That was her way. That was her peace.

This tree—her Branches of Faith—had carried her through storms no one else even noticed.

But Warren never understood.

He stood behind her, shaking his head. “Mindy, why do you come to this tree every day? You sit here crying, praying, waiting for something that might not even happen. I see you out here time after time. Are you replacing me with this tree? Is this your new best friend?”

Mindy wiped her face and turned to him. “What are you talking about, Warren? This has nothing to do with you. Why are you trying to change the way I think? You do you, and I’ll do me. Don’t worry about my faith—fix your own and see how that goes.”

She stood up, brushing dirt from her hands. “A long time ago, everything fell apart for me. Job gone. Home almost gone. Everything that could go wrong did. And nobody reached out. Not even you. That’s when I realized I didn’t need anyone but God. I had been leaning on the wrong people—people who talked about me right to my face.”

Her voice trembled, but she didn’t break.

“They said things like, ‘So what if you lose your home? Go stay with somebody else.’ Or, ‘If things go bad, maybe that’s just how it’s supposed to be.’ But I refused to accept that. Something inside me remembered faith. True belief. No doubt. Just trust. And God would direct my path.”

She placed her hand back on the tree, gently.

“So I came here. To my tree of faith. Every branch felt like it was reaching toward me, giving me something to hold on to. And that’s when everything began to change. I felt protection. Warmth. Hope. Like God Himself was saying, ‘You’re going to be alright.’

She looked at Warren with calm eyes.

“This is how I live now. This is what saved me. My Faith,
